3rd April - Gobernado Costa to San Carlos de Bariloche (Day 7)

Today provided a real change in the feel of the trip - it felt like a holiday for the first time.

It was a warm sunny day and we could have easily been in the Alps as we left behind the Patagonian planes and reached the Argentinean Lake District. The first thing I noticed was that we were now in the mountains, rather than just seeing large peaks in the distance. Short grass and scrub gradually became scattered trees before yielding to thick forest.

The bike is working perfectly, though my tires are still wearing fast. I also now have the Go Pro on the front of the bike. We're in a nice hotel and I'm just back from the best steak of the trip.
