2nd April - Casa de Peidra to Gobernado Costa (Day 6)

It feels as though we have been on the road for some time, though in reality we've barely scratched the surface of this trip - we still have 9 weeks to go before we reach New York.

The route today was roughly 50/50 piste and tarmac. The piste section was meant to be one of the hardest parts of the trip. Luckily it was dry and not too windy so other than demanding 100% concentration it was pretty straight forward. The tarmac still came as a welcome relief and we quickly made it to Gobernado Costa.

My rear tyre is already squared off and looks to be about half way worn - after only 1300 miles. A nail in my tire meant we also got to try out my repair kit. Jim has also bolted my top box back on - hopefully it will now make it to Alaska.

We are in a hotel tonight so hopefully my cameras will be fully charged and I can start adding a few more pics to this blog.
