After a damp start we set out for the ferry to cross the Magellan straights and on to Hotel Sehuen in Rio Grande. There was more piste and several riders came off. Despite relatively high speeds the only serious injury was to a bike, another KTM SM-T. The rider has some pretty impressive bruises. The bike was made ridable though the front wheel looks in pretty bad shape.
At the hotel there was an opportunity to carry out some work on the bikes - cleaning chains and removing mud from my radiator. Many of us also repacked and rationalised luggage. When I originally packed I did not plan for carrying a 10l fuel bottle or a spare tire. Although I've lost very little weight, I have lost quite a bit of bulk by leaving behind some clothes and toiletries.
Great to hear you boys are finally on the road and enjoying the adventure. Worrying to hear about the other SM-T rider - it wasn't Phil was it?
